Dr Adam Kaplin is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and also Assistant Professor of Neurology at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Having completed his MD Phd at Johns Hopkins he has gone on to invent Mood 24, a text message enabled platform to measure mood on a daily basis. He serves on a variety of Scientific Advisory Boards for numerous biotechnology companies and scientific foundations including the Montel Williams MS Foundation and the Nancy Davis MS Foundation.

In the episode Dr Kaplin and I deep dive into walking the line as a clinician researcher and why physicians are so at risk for mental health disorders and suicide. This is an eye opening conversation as to how so many of our strengths as physicians can on occasion turn against us.
